Pumpkin carvings on display at Ackerman

In the spirit of Halloween, Ackerman Union A-level has been transformed into a mini pumpkin patch — real pumpkins, hay, pumpkin cake…the whole shebang. Students walking by today no doubt noticed the curious installation.

Psy, the Korean singer known for his hit “Gangnam Style“, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, the minions from Despicable Me and Winnie the Pooh were all present … in pumpkin form.

Members of ASUCLA exhibited their pumpkin carvings for the 35th annual pumpkin carving festival on display at Ackerman Union until 5 p.m. today.

The Psy pumpkin was a favorite amongst passersby. It stole the show with its presentation (“Gangnam style” was blasting in the background and there were flashing disco lights).
